My name is Holly Cochrane. I am a communications professional with an overactive imagination.
I grew up in the picturesque Dandenong Ranges in Victoria, Australia. I have been writing and drawing as long as I can remember; probably because there wasn’t much else to keep me occupied in our little town. Since then, I’ve lived in marvelous Melbourne, clinical Canberra and in a medieval Swedish city called Uppsala.
I hold a Bachelor of Communication/Multimedia Systems, specialising in traditional 2D and cut-out animation, and a Graduate Certificate of Professional Writing. I have worked in a number of inter-related fields, including internal communications, media relations, graphic design and events management. I’ve had some amazing jobs so far and have been really fortunate.
I am currently based in Melbourne, where I am undertaking further training in illustration. My other major interests are history, photography, old books and creative writing (I’m far from producing the next Harry Potter, but hey, I can try!). I also have a terminal case of the travel bug, having been to about forty countries so far, mostly in Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
