Another collage card completed, this time with a rural twist! “Where’s me ferrets?” is a catch phrase in our house whenever we see someone scruffy or toothless on some trashy current affairs program. It has become a running joke and the recipient of this card is particularly adept at dropping the line when it will have the greatest impact. The ferrets are lounging on furs that are cut from a synthetic stuffed toy kangaroo which I picked up from a tourist junk shop. Other materials used include raffia reeds, cereal boxes, wrapping paper, leather cord, gouache paint and an ordinary ballpoint pen. The card closes by looping the leather bindings onto the heads of split pins, which are secured between two layers of cardboard.
